Our Therapists

Allie Berg

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) passionate about helping people heal, grow, and strengthen their relationships. My work is grounded christian counseling and evidence-based interventions that are tailored to each client’s unique needs. My approach incorporates a collaborative and safe space integrated with a Christian lens where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University in 2022 and interned as an intensive in-home therapist in the Denver area for at risk children and youth from 2021-2022. After graduating in May of 2022, my husband and I moved back to Oahu where I began my post-graduate work as an in-home therapist from 2023-2025. I provided intensive trauma therapy to individuals and families in their homes across Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. I launched Aloha Christian Counseling in October of 2025 as I saw the need for incorporating Christian counseling into the community. My current role offers support to those who are hurting, grieving, suffering from trauma, loss, are overwhelmed, or struggling in their marriage or family.

My additional trainings include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting (Phase 1 and 2, and Expansion) and Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

I’m originally from Washington State and moved to Oahu in 2012 with my husband. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring, surfing, hiking, and diving for seashells. I value spending time with my friends and family (including my two golden retrievers), and I also really enjoy cooking.

Chris Chur

Aloha, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with more than five years of experience supporting individuals facing depression, anxiety, work-related stress, relationship challenges, family conflict, self esteem concerns, health and wellness issues, addictive behaviors, grief, trauma, and matters related to the Christian faith.

Born and raised on Oʻahu, I earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2018 and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Talbot School of Theology in 2013. My education and clinical training emphasize the integration of psychology and theology to support each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and circumstances.

My approach focuses on helping individuals gain greater awareness, responsibility, and control over their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, habits, and life choices. As a Christian counselor, my prayer is that clients would come to know and experience the love of Jesus Christ, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the grace of God the Father. I strive to help clients leave each session feeling empowered, encouraged, motivated, and hopeful as they pursue healing, recovery, transformation, and positive life change.

My therapeutic approach incorporates evidence based practices and my experience in pastoral work to support clients with holistic health, self-control, self-development, and spiritual disciplines to thrive and find healing. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly share their thoughts and feelings. I also advocate for wellness through self care, personal growth, emotional health, spiritual disciplines, and healthy lifestyle practices.

Prior to becoming a counselor, I served in a variety of helping roles, including case manager, youth pastor, preschool teacher, behavioral technician, and high school counselor. Utilizing my previous experience and training helps me to collaborate with clients to develop and achieve realistic short and long term goals. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy playing basketball, card games, and spending quality time watching movies with friends and family.
