After moving to Oahu in the summer of 2012, I discovered one of my most treasured hobbies: looking and diving for seashells. I found joy in finding shells that had washed ashore after a big swell, or at other times when I would spend hours diving for the little homes left behind. I would take these shells home and marvel at our God’s creation.

It made me wonder why something would leave such a beautiful home. I soon learned that some leave their shell because they have outgrown it. They begin on a journey to find a bigger shell so they can continue to grow. If they stayed in their current shells, they would not be able to experience growth.

We desire all who receive services at Aloha Christian Counseling to engage in this concept. We strive to equip our clients with tools to be empowered to outgrow their former shell and continue being conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).
